We inspect hundreds of items some of which are shown on the list below, and some component inspections can be quite detailed.  A main electrical panel for example may be reported as in "Safe and Proper Condition".  But many items would be checked to conclude that.  For example, below is a list of some of the many things that would be checked in just a main electrical panel:

Roofing System - Coverings, Flashings, Chimneys, Vents, Skylights, Gutters & Downspouts. Interior - Walls, Floors, Ceilings, Doors, Windows, Trim, Cabinents. Fireplaces & Stoves -  Fire Brick, Hearth, Safety Clearances, Flues, Combustion chamber, Damper,   Insulation - Attic, Walls, Floors, Ceilings, Crawl spaces, Vapor barriers. Heating & Air Condition - System Details, Burner, Heat exchanger, Lines, Ductwork, Registers, Humidifier, Thermostats & Controls. Garage - Floors, Walls, Ceilings, Windows, Vehicle Door, Electrical.

Exterior Structure - Wall coverings, Windows, Foundation, Support Columns, Trim, Eaves & Soffits, Outside Electrical & Gas Supply.   Interior - Walls, Floors, Ceilings, Doors, Stairs, Hand Rails, Windows, Fireplaces & Stoves.   Kitchen - Cabinets, Counters, Flooring, Ventilation, Sink, Fixtures, Appliances.   Electrical System - Main & Sub Panels, Volt & Amperage capacity, Branch circuits, Wiring, Outlets, GFCI, Smoke detectors.   Plumbing - Water service, Fuel Service, Pipes, Vents, Traps, Flow, Water heater.   Attic - Ventilation, Insulation, Vents, Roof & Ceiling Framing, Moisture & mildew issues. Basement - Foundation, Support columns, Floors, Walls, Ceilings, Plumbing fixtures.
